Our MSDTC service has failed with error 3221229574. We are running SQL Server 2000 on an NT server with sp 6a. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q250987 on the knowledge base describes how to reinstall the MSDTC service when using SQL 7.0.
Scary part: Will this procedure also work on SQL2000? This is fairly urgent. ANy help is appreciated.

Thanks Andy. We have contacted micro$oft about this issue. I will post the solution they recommend.

The solution was to reset the log file. Here's how.
Execute DAC.EXE from the command line.
Select the advanced tab.
Press the reset log button.
Select the general tab.
Press the start button.
Apparently the log file became corrupted or filled up.

We have Premiere support. We purchase a block of tickets each year. Our specific group uses less than 3 a year.
