Group Dependency

    Is it possible to make a group dependent on another group in the Cluster Administrator. As far as I know only the resources in the same group can be dependent. Its very important for me. Please somebody reply soon.

    I don't believe you can set dependencies at the group level. Groups are containers for resources that are being clustered (like drives and SQL instance components). These resources have dependencies that can be set.

    For example, your SQL instance creates 5-6 resources running in a group that are dependent on the drives that hold the data and logs for those instances for obvious reasons.

    Can you provide more details on what you are trying to accomplish?
