After installing SQL7 SP4 we are unable to connect to SQL Server using TCP/IP -
I think its an error with SSMSRP70.DLL
Named pipes etc are OK
I found the following in the SQL log
Operating system error 10013., 2002-08-13 20:41:47.68 ods
Using 'SSMSRP70.DLL' version '7.0.961' to listen on 'SERVERNAME'.
Has anyone experienced anything similar??
Thanks

I've had times with both versions where it wouldnt open the port for some reason, a restart always fixed it.

The listeners do not start unless the server reboots. This might be your problem.

Thanks Guys,
The server was rebooted following the install of SP4 - twice.
But I'll schedule more down time for the server - and see if this helps.
