Hi all,
Our company id currently migrating from SQL SERVER/NT to Oracle/SUN, we user DTS extensively and I am wondering what is the DTS equivalent tools in Oracle 8i, using ODBC as datasource. Thanks of prompt reply.

Might want to find an Oracle site. Some of our readers use both, but for the most part SQL Server is our focus here.

There is no true equivalent to DTS in Oracle (at least with current production version, have heard rumors in a future release). The closets thing to it is Migration Manger.

Why not just use DTS?
You loose the ability to use the DTS designer thats built into SQL Server, but there is no requirement for SQL Server to be either the source or destination of a DTS Transformation. You can create a stand alone package via the object model using VB and use it with your Oracle database.

Take a look at Oracle Warehouse Builder. Actually it seems quite nice and full featured.
