I have been trying to get my sql transaction log down to size for weeks to no prevail, and now I am in an emergency situation. My webserver shut down this morning due to the HD filling up. I lowered the percentage of growth to buy a little time. Can anybody explain what to do to me to get this file down to size? I have read multiple articles but I am new to this and can't get it right. I don't have much time left before I totally screw myself. By the way the transaction log is 25 Gigs...

As you've indicated, there are a couple of articles that deal with this issue. However, first things first. Here's the link to a script posted by Steve Jones that should help you out. It creates a stored procedure for you to call to forcibly shrink the database file, without having to try and decipher the often cryptic Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:
