Date Problem

When using the convert function in SQL 6.5 , i use the style property of 106 to get dd-mm-yy format. This works for some tables but with other tables the output comes out as mm-dd-yy. Any ideas why this inconsistency??

yep - although the data loaded from a text file is in yyyy-mm-dd. But some tables get converted properly and some don't

What is the column datatype of each situation?
