Query Analyzer overlapping/garbled result text

    Hi,

    I'm having a problem with SS2K(SrvcPack 1) Query Analyzer producing results in Column Aligned Text mode with garbled/overlapping text. This only seems to happen with wide result sets (say > 700 chars).

    Has anyone had this problem before? And how did you fix it?

    I had similar problems with a Dell PC that had an Intel 810 graphic controler. Updated the video driver and everything was great. Did you get this before SP1 or just since you loaded it?

    I didn't used to get it prior to SP1, however, I'm on a new machine now, and have installed SP1 as part of the setup of it.

    Ahh.. I just checked my Device Manager - I have an Intel 810 too...

    The penny drops..

    I'll update the driver too, and hopefully that will fix it.

    Hi all,

    Yup - updating my display driver (via Windows Update) did fix the problem.
