I've never heard of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". The nearest title to that which I know of is "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" which is the first in the Franchise. Maybe Steve made a misprint?

Movies are sometimes released in different countries with different names. I guess it's a fairly common practice. Personally, I loved the whole series. No matter what it was called, I'd call it great.

Ah, but I was referring to the book. And as you'll appreciate from the Wikipaedia story Ms Rowling was not happy with the changes anyway. In the UK we get loads of books published in US English, notwithstanding the fact that we therefore have nouns used as verbs, transitives as intransitives, and many other corruptions.

Nice question, thanks Steve.
Have just come back from a week an a half in the bush (out of mobile reception, etc). Good to be back in civilisation again...
