Hello,
I have a DTS package that pulls over data from the AS400 (iSeries) out of a view.
Win 2003 Server, SQL 2k.
File DSN to point to AS400
If I do a straight Import Wizard and pull over the data from the view on the 400 to sql server, the table shows up fine.
If I do the Import Wizard again, same dsn, same view, and elect to run and save the dts package, the table is short 5 columns. The transformation confirms that the 5 columns dont exist. If I hook up a linked server, I can't see the 5 columns.
It would appear that DTS does different things depending on if you choose to save the package vs just run a straight import via the wizard.
