We have sql7.0 on WinNT 4.0. How do i find out what service pack for sql server that i am running currently in my NT server? Also, microsoft has sent me a disc for sql server 7.0 service pack 4...could anyone tell me what are the new features in this disc?

Run the command "select @@version" in Query Analizer. You should see "7.00.1094" to be on the latest, safest version of SQL Server 7.
"7.00.1063" means you have Service Pack 4.
"7.00.961" is SP3.
"7.00.842" is SP2.
"7.0.699" is SP1.
"7.00.623" is the origional release. Numbers in between are hotfixes.

I would install SP4 and then install the hotfix patch form Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-031. That will bring you to SQL Server 7.00.1094 and protect you from the most viruses and worms.
