I'd like to see results of actual experimentation - actual change in performance, numbers of physical I/Os for different physical configurations.

I enjoyed Greg's article and am hoping that my article on Fill Factor's is one of the two for this week. Greg brings up a good point with PAD_INDEX!! I truly believe that Fill Factor settings are important and have made major performance improvements by adjusting them in my databases!!!

Great article, well written. Fragmentation is not the easiest SQL Server topic to get your head around, but this explained fill factor and fragmentation in easy to understand English.
