Sql 2000 local problem

    Hi to all

    i 'm using sql 2000 server...i try to connect my own local server but i con't connect i have some error message like

    Server:Msg 6,Level 16,State 1

    [Microsoft][odbc sql server Driver][DBNETLIB]Specified SQL Server not found

    Help me how to connect my local server....

    How do you connect to your local server? Are you using Enterprise Manager or Query Analyzer? Run the Service Manager. Check whether the server is run and what is the name of the server on the Service Manager. Use that name or the IP address to connect to the local server. Are you connected to a network?

    check whether the service is up abd running and your server name or IP address etc.
