hiya,
I am importing SAGE datafiles into sqlServer (I thought I'd mention, in case it was relevant)..
Anyway, is there anyway to ensure that the files have been copied over exactly, date format and all? I've been looking, but I can't find anything.
Is there any way that the DTS package can specify any columns where the data in the destination tables isn't exactly as it is in the source tables?
Or, do I have to look at the columns, to be sure that an exact copy was made?
many thanks,
yogi

I have no clue what SAGE is, but is there a way to reverse the process from SQL-Server to SAGE and then compare the original to what you sent back?
In SQL-Server I use Red-Gates SQL Data Compare to see if the data is the same between two databases but I'm think that only works on SQL-Server tables.
