Thank you for this good question about a topic I am using scarcely.

I have not often used user defined data types in SQL Server thru T-SQL , but I have used them thru SMO UserDefinedDataType class in the Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo namespace. As in this class , I know that there is a Nullable property , I think that T-SQL is supporting null value for this type.

I am often discovering T-SQL features thru SMO as I have written a long time ago an application which permits to discover classes in the Smo namespace and to display properties of the discovered classes.

It was a Windows Form application and I am trying to rewrite with WPF + C# ( but it will be long as I am only a beginner in WPF )
