Well, now I know. Though I suspect that unless isolated from the world for some bizarre reason, most of us will just ask the Google, as manual help can often be cryptic until you decrypt it.

Nice easy question.
Actually one could be quicker by saving five keystrolkes and typing "?sqrt" instead of "help(sqrt)".
