Hello all,
Ugh. Soooo frustrating.
I have an Access front end connected to a local SQL backend. In EM, I can create a new table and add records with no problem.
But in Access, I can see the table only; I can't add any new records. This has got to be a permission problem, right?
Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you.

Well, ya learn something new every day.
I hammered away at this and realized:
If I created a primary key in the table, then Access allowed me to add records. Without the primary key, Access showed the grayed-out icon for adding records.
I'm not sure why it behaves this way, but I'm glad I found the answer :^)
And I hope this helps someone else who may have gotten stuck on this.
Also, this is the first time that I have responded to my own post.....heh heh heh....life as a SQL newbie.
