My CPU Usage was increased while I ran a query for getting large amount of data from SQL table. But after executed my query the CPU Usage still shows the same status. It didn’t reduce it’s usage. What is the problem? Can you help me regarding this?
My system requirement:-
Ram size: 3GB,
Operating System: Server 2003
SQL version: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.3042.00 (Intel X86) Feb 9 2007 22:47:07 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Evaluation Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)
Database Size: 90GB.

I meant CPU Usage.

so when you go into task manager the SQL service is taking a lot of the CPU? continually?
I guess I would first do a sp_who2 to see what the active processes are...and what process has a lot of CPUTime
