I am trying to move the Fulltext search files to a new drive on a clustered instance.
Old Drive: G
New Drive: H
First I copied all the files exactly as they exist on the old drive.
Then, I have followed the steps in the article: "How to move, copy, and back up full-text catalog folders and files".
I still have a problem. I have made all the required registry changes and in fact did a search on the registry for the old drive letter (G:\) and changed every occurance to H.
When I start the Fulltext resource it fails with this error:
An error occurred during the online operation for instance : 80070003 - The system cannot find the path specified.
I systematically renamed each folder in the old drive path until I learned it is the "Config" folder in this path that is causing the problem:
G:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$DBSSQTSH\FTDATA\SQLServer$DBSSQTSH\Config
If I rename the "config" folder in the old drive it fails, if I name it back it works.
What am I missing? I cannot remove the old drive until I can get Fulltext search working with the new drive.
Thanks

Im not sure I understand totally what your saying but with the error you are getting I would check to ensure that all nodes of the cluster indeed have a new H: drive designation and that in the cluster administrator the disk resource has the h: drive designation. I hope this helps.
