sql server connection issue

  I am getting the following error when connecting sql server 2000 with a client tool.

  "Cannot load the DLL xpstar.dll, or one of the DLL's it

  references. Reason 182 (error not found)." It will take me to the object explorer pane, but I cannot expand database engine.

  Looking for a suggestion.
