I now have another decision on using 32 bit or 64 bit sql, except this is for production. I have a new 64 bit server coming in which will replace a current 32 bit sql server 2000 machine. THis machine will be part of a new cluster this summer but that is not the issue. This new machine has to run log shipping and run several DTS packages until then. I am leaning towards using the 32 bit version. I was also wondering since this machine will be log shipping to a 32 bit machine, should I install the 32 bit OS on this machine?
Anyone even try this yet?

First I'd think about 64-bit, and especially think about upgrading to 2005 or 2008. I'd recommend looking at 2008 for next year. Which means learning SSIS a bit now.
There have been issues with drivers and other things not working as well on 64-bit, so depending on how much time you have to troubleshoot issues (or you just want it to work), I might learn towards 32 instead of 64.
