Hello,
Can anyone help me with a trigger that fires whenever an account has been granted sysadmin role?
I've been looking into some google samples but can't get it to work. I have got some triggers whenever a db has been created or modified, but I would like to trigger new sysadmin roles. Is this possible?
Many thanks!

1) if you still have the builtin/administrators local windows group in your sqlserver's logins list, one can become sqlserver sysadmin by being added to the windows local administrators group.
2) I don't think there's a trigger available in sql7 or sql2000, without tweaking with the system-tables (VERY BAD PRACTISE and i doubt if possible).

With SQL2005 you can use server ddl triggers to detect / intercept those kind of actions.
