Sql2000 and Sql2005 Media

    Hi All,

     

         I have a problem; we are at implementation process at our organization; our application providers required a SQL Server2000 to exist but we have a SQL Server2005 licensed media at our organization.

    How can I use/register SQL Server 2000 during I have SQL Server 2005 licensed media.

    Make sure that they both are of same edition.

    i mean SQL server 2000 be ENT edition then SQL 2005 should also be ENT edition.

    In addition to what SHNK said, it can depend on how your product is licensed. Here (warning: .doc file) is the official word, and if you want more info, MS refers to this as "Downgrade rights", so you can search for that on their website and get all sorts of hits.
