cluster and mirroring sql 2005

  Out network ops guys came out of the blue to do a sql cluster for a 2005 conversion from 2000 we are doing, to go to an active/passive 2005 cluster with mirroring. I may lack 2005 experience, but I thought that clustering and mirroring were exclusive of each other? If I am wrong, does anyone have this setup?
