Hi,
I am planning to change the slqservice and agent passwords on our environment.
The account is a domain account.
I'm assuming I just change the domain password and then update the account passwords in sql.
Has anyone had any problems with this ?

Graeme,
That should be fine, make sure you don't change any account information from the Services MMC snap-in, that causes problems, always use EM.

I agree with lholman, EM is the way to make this change.

Why are you changing them ? The reason I ask is that if you deny 'interactive login' to those accounts through Active Directory and the passwords are both 'complex' and 'secure', you really do not need to change them. They are only good for starting/stopping SQL Server is set up correctly.

You got to be careful if you have any DTS packages saved with passwords.

Thanks very much for all your input.
I thought it might be quite straightforward..it's just good to get the nod from those who know
Thanks again
Graeme
