Limit processes inside the DB

  Hi.

  I have COTS application that is starting many processes in the DB.. It is maxing out the DB. It is even stopping my Rep process.  Ok.. How do I limit the number of processes within the DB?  I have not seen DB process, sqlsrver.exe, running at 100% before...
