migrate db from sql 6.5 to sql 2000

    Hi all,

    What is the best way to migrate database from

    sql6.5 to sql 2000? Thanks!

    I mean can I copy the database backup to new server then restore it or using dts to transfer the database to new server directly?

    U have to install sql 2000, and use the sql 2000 upgrade wizard to upgrade 6.5 to sql 2000. Good luck.

    Also, make sure you have a good read of the Upgrading topic in SQL 2000 Books Online. Especially the first topic called "Preparing to Upgrade from SQL Server 6.5"
