Hi all
i Have problem to aplicate SQLSP3 on one server. During a first apply SQLSP3 server crash (HW problem) when SQLSP3 install runnig sql scripts.After solving HW problem i try aplicate SQLSP3 second time but setup stop and cannot continue on step "validating user" with message "cannot log on to sqlserver". Binaries of sql server is already from SP3 (properties of sql server say SP3 instaled) but all scripts was not applied. Is possibile to reaply SQLSP3? What is right order of scripts in SP3 (for manual run from query analyzer)
SQL Server is runnig on win2k server with SP4.

I had the same problem when I upgraded Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition, and then reapplied SP3a. You need to stop ALL MSSQL Services, including Reporting Services, if you have it:
Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Look for MSSQL... services and stop them.
Apply your SP3a again, and it should go right through and allow you to use either sa or Windows Authentication. The services will restart when you reboot after installing the SP3a pack.
