I am trying to debug one of my problem and was almost shocked to see value "1" in "succeeded" column in MSDB..sysdbmaintplan_history system table.
Books online says 0 = Success, 1 = Failure. But I believe, its reverse. Because, for all the records which has "0" in it, you can see error_number & error message as well in the same table.
Am I Wrong?

I believe you're right. I have updated (SP3) BOL and it too shows 1=failure. My MSDB..sysdbmaintplan_history contains all 1's (well, nearly all) and I can assure you they've all worked (well, nearly all).
Suggest you let MS know about the typo.
