After installing Service Pack 3, Enterprise Manager (the Microsoft Management Console plugin) refuse to load, bombing out with "mmc.exe generated errors.."
I note from the MSM Communities that various people have been having this problem. Anyone got a soln yet ?

mmc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.

from my ng post...
I found what fixed our problem.... On my test server, I had the Hide Server
box checked (Sql Server Network Utility -> TCP/IP -> Properties) As soon as
I unchecked it, restarted my test server, all worked as it did before. I
have had the box checked for awhile (a month or two for sure), so maybe this
is a sp3 issue because all worked ok until i put sp3 on it (testbox).
Anyway, works for now and i reckon my test server won't be hidden....
From someone at ms....
This looks like MDAC bug 94620 and has been fixed after the version of MDAC
that ships with SP3.
