SP3 install on ASP.NET Quickstart MSDE 'NetSDK'?

  When you install the ASP.Net Quickstarts, it installs an MSDE instance named NetSDK.

  I am unable to install SQL Server 2000 SP3 on the NetSDK instance of SQL Server 2000 MSDE.

  The reason seems to be that it is installed onto my computer with a productcode that is not recognized by the SP3 installer. I believe this because the productcode is not listed in the KB article telling how to determine which .msi file was used when originally installing the product.

  Could it be I'm the first to run into this?

  Am I the first to try and install SP3 onto the NetSDK instance?

  Any advice?

  Microsoft has released a patch to install the SQL Server Service Pack 3 for .NET Framework SDK 1.0 Users.
