Several weeks ago I stopped receiving emails (newsletter) from SSC. I check with my exchange server folks to see if they were blocking them, but they say they're letting the header through; but you know I've heard that before.
I also went into my account settings and "unchecked APPLIED / checked APPLIED" the newletter option
Is everyone still receiving emails?
If I don't receive the email, I usually forget to check SSC for new posts and such.
I feel like the community abandoned me; perhaps I was voted off!
Thanks
Steve

I'm still getting the mails. Guess you've been voted off the island 😉

The newsletter format has not changed in months. If they are not coming through, there is some type of filtering happening. Often Exchange people have a third party SPAM filter, and sometimes those update and will block newsletters.

I've seen this as well, last e-mail I received was on the 8th, and after checking yesterday I found that all of them after that point have been stopped by our anti-spam system. Our system is reporting that they're being blocked due to the sender rather than the content of the message, which makes me suspect that the sender address / domain has been blacklisted somewhere. I haven't had a chance to check fully and determine exactly who or what is causing it to be flagged, but if I do find out I'll report back.
For now at least I've white listed the domain on our system so the e-mails are coming through yet again! 🙂

Thanks for the note. We constantly are tracking down blacklisting. Some companies are quicker to report us for a complaint than others. We do try to remove people as soon as we can when they request it, but some complaints get through.

As expected, this was on our end, in one of network firewall country blocks (so I'm told).
SSC sends email through via a country outside the U.S.?

We send from the UK

thanks.
Yikes, if we were blocking the UK, I'm not sure what country we wouldn't block!

somehow the mailserver landed on following blacklist:
http://www.dnsbl.manitu.net/lookup.php?language=en&value=89.234.60.73
because of this im not receiving the newsletter any longer, could you please do something against that?

Any new information? I still only receive some of the newsletters.

The server you listed in your link above had been removed from the blacklist. However it appears that one of the other SSC mail servers had appeared on the list instead.
This has now been removed, so hopefully your newsletters should arrive as per normal. Please let us know if this is not the case.
