I have mapped a server with a drive T, which is not recognized by the Backup Database Wizard.
Could some one tell me how to do backup in a different Windows Server?

\\servername\folder, make sure it has proper permissions.

\\servername\folder is not working its like \\Servername\DriveName\Folder.
It did not help either. Anyway thanks for the suggestion.

Make sure that the SQL server agent service is running with a domain account with proper read write permissions on the remote server.
Hope this help.

Is there a way to backup to mapped drive or UNC path using SQL 6.5? I've mapped a drive, but it appears to only display local physical drives as possible locations for the backup. Thanks for any insight you might provide! 🙂
Forever learning,
Jeff

in 6.5 I think you can do it in code but not through EM.
