Additional CPU''s

    HI,

    We are planning to add another 2 CPU's to our server - any special considerations for SQL Server (apart from licencing)?

    I wouldn't think so.

    Just double check in EM, under the properties for the server -> processor, make sure the new CPU's are there.

    Probably have the option to do more tweaking with extra CPU power.

    keep in mind the following server properties

    Cost Threshhold of Parallelism and Max Degree of parallelism.
