17204 :FCB:pen failed: Could not open device C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data\SoftPro_log.LDF for virtual device number (VDN) 2.
This happens only when McAfee 8.5 is installed on the server, according to the users of the system.

Also getting:
17207 :udopen: Operating system error 32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.) during the creation/opening of physical device C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data\SoftPro_log.LDF.

Could be timing out while McAfee scans the transaction log file when it is opened (in memory) to be written to by the database. Stop McAffee monitoring files opened in memory and see if the problem goes away. If it is a timeout it could be because the transaction log file is big, in which case consider doing more frequent transaction log backups.
OR, if it only happens when the disk is scanned, get McAfee to skip the ..\MSSQL\DATA folder. The timing of the virus scan could be conflicting with a databse or transaction log backup

I agree with the previous post. Generally we exclude the SQL Server data folder for anti virus scanning.
