From the interview:
since I am coming from Europe where executives never mix with the average worker, much less walking without an escort. I definitely got a sense that Microsoft is a different style of company than what I had known before
Note to non-Europeans: Do not put all Europeans in the same box.
The difference between this kind of culture in France, Germany and Sweden (to name three) is very big. The statement above sounds totally wrong from my (Swedish) viewpoint.
However, what also struck me is that this kind of statement is what I normally hear about American companies. I don't know if Microsoft is different or if it is the same kind of misconception made by us.

Sorry to report that the "The case-study hotlinks don't work (for me)" as implemented. They come up as prefixed by the article address.
Otherwise...very interesting read.

Great.
I've been working with Analysis since it was called OLAP Services in SQL Server 7 (beta versions). It's good to see an interview with somebody directly involved with SQL Server, especially Analysis Services.
Best Regards.

"I have my eyes on Denali."
Clever. We'll have to start parsing what Microsoftees say more closely.
