  Hi,

  I have a SQL Server2k database and a table where I store information for about 1 million images. Several fields have been indexed in order to cope with large queries.

  Also I have a DTS package which has the job to copy a text files data and insert it into my table.

  I am now trying to update this DTS package to make it point ot the right source text file.

  The problem I have is that once I edit the package and hit the Save/Ok the SQL server is not responding anymore. It seems like this process is taking hours. Is this how it is supposed to work and I just have to wait until it is doing its bits an pieces?

  If you have SS2k SP3, you may need to get the hotfix from MS.

  See MS Knowledge Base Article 814113.
