    Hi!

    My question is very short:

    Will a 64-bit MS SQL 2000 Server version work on AMD Opteron 64-bit processor?

    It is supposed to. But I don't kno anyone who has directly tested. Your best bet is to check with AMD and see if they have tested an benchmarked (this is usually something they or a third-party does for them). If they haven't tried see if they will support your cost to test. Otherwise contact MS on the matter and they may set you up for a trial to test if no one has any info.

    Microsoft has a compatibility site. Don't know if this will help in this case but worth a look.
