Error logs and Event viewer

    My administrator rebooted the machine where sql 2k is running. Both sqlserver & agent services are setup to auto start. When he rebooted, I dont see any information in the sqlserver error log. Event viewer has the machine restart info. Is this normal? What should I do to include this to the log?

    Each time server is rebooted, A new SQL Server errorlog will be created with startup informations that indicate SQL Server is restarted. In privious errorlog, A message 'SQL Server is terminating due to 'stop' request from Service Control Manager.' tells when SQL Server was shutdown.
