Frequently Asked Questions

  • Hello all!

One thing that is easy to note as you follow SQLServerCentral.com for a while is that alot of questions seems to repeat themselves over time... How about:

    http://www.sqlservercentral.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16365&FORUM_ID=9&CAT_ID=1&Forum_Title=General&Topic_Title=Memory+not+releasing+in+sql+server+2000+sp3

For example? How many questions havn't we had about SQL taking all memory that can be comfortably taken?

I was thinking if maybe it is possible to make a FAQ thread? Or a FAQ page with the most asked questions/answers easily accessable?

Maybe also as a button in every thread where it is possibe to link a Question/Topic to a FAQ entry?

I am sure I have missed alot of possibilities with my suggestions and I hope that it is possible to improve this idea alot...

    Rgards, Hans!

take a look at Resources -> FAQ.

Functionality is there, content can be added.

But I agree on general with you.

    Time for lunch now!

  • Hi Frank!

Thank you 🙂 I never saw that resource for what it actually is. It seems actually to be very close to what I was thinking about (maybe with a few extensions) and seems to contain the most essential information!

    Regards, Hans!

fine, but I wasn't aware what a highly sophisticated high-tech 'thing' I was going to buy. Woh, from what I understand right now, the only thing this machine cannot do is cook coffee
