Connection very Slow

  • Hi Brain,

Looks like it takes a loooong time for me to view pages. Will we get a performance boost with the new version of the forum application that you are planning to launch.

Is the new application going to be on .NET .

  • Hi,

We're hopefully going to be migrating to a new server next month sometime which'll speed this up tremendously. Also, the first phase of the upgrade is to upgrade the forum software. By doing this in development though, I broke the rest of the site since it's all interconnected. That should also be in January. Sorry for the slow down though!

  • I will wait for the Upgrade. In the meantime, I would like to thank all of you for the tons of Information here. I will go through them slowly. I have started to love SQL Server.

  • Should be a bit faster now. The hard drive was VERY fragmented. Whoever said Windows 2000 doesn't get fragmented was sadly mistaken.

  • Loved how they stated this with NT and never provided a tool, then 2000 hits and guess what built in defragmentor. Clue?
