I have a dual processor box with 4 GB of ram, and the SQL Server instance is set to use 3.75 GB of the ram. When I look at the task manager is shows that sQL Server is only using 1.7 GB. How can I force SQL Server to use more memory?

put /3GB switch to your boot.ini file then reboot your machine
