One last suggestion. In most other forums that I participate there is a Search engine (keyword, subject, etc.) which enables the user to look for previous postings on their topic.
Assuming that users do use it, it minimizes duplicate postings and the annoyance of posting responders having to answer the same question over and over.
If you have one, I can't find it. And if you do not, then I'd suggest that you add one.
Thanks,
jrb

The Search button on the top menu will search articles and / or forums.
We know we need to enahance this, just haven't had time. Sorry.

I was about to apologize for this posting since I did eventually find the Search page. It does work well.
I did originally find it hard to locate, since it did not appear on either the top menu or anywhere else. Then, "magically" (???) it appeared on the top menu. I am not sure what I did to make it appear.
Thanks anyway,

no, it's a bug. I've seen it disappear on some pages. Always on the home page though.

The Search link disappears if you are not logged in. Once you login it appears. Took me a while to notice that!
Also, the Search really sucks here. I'm not sure what it is doing, but it definately does not work as you would expect. Example:
Seach for: "login" and "failed"
You get 26 posts in the forums, but not these two (the two I was looking for).
What's up with that? Both clearly have "login" and "failed" in both the Subject and Message body!

We'll try to look into it. Brian has been investigating whether to upgrade Snitz or to move to a different package, so we've put some other changes on hold pending that. Search right now is SQL full text, I'll look to make sure it's crawling. Not the best search maybe, but we wanted to exploit SQL specific technology wherever we could.
