Hi,
I have installed a new server and restore my db on it and I have just one user name USERA and I set an Alert for login failure. Now this is my question: Why I receive login failure for user name USERB while I don't have such user? Of course I should say that I had this user in that db when it was on another server but now I don't have it anymore. Also I check for orphaned userid but there are no such users on my db.
Any help will be appreciated.

This may be a silly question, but if someone with an NT username matching USERB is attempting to access SQL Server through QA using NT Authentication, wouldn't you get the login failure alert?

But I don't have any userid matches USERB in windows nt.

Could someone be attempting to connect as UserB (SQL Server) based on how they accessed the previous server? Could it be hard-coded in an app somewhere?
