it would be nice to have a forum on
the interaction of sql and the asp.net!
Maybe also touching on the MSDE as well.

We've talked some about MSDE. Certainly it has a few unique issues that are worth discussing at times. Not as sure about ASP.Net. If we do that then we'd probably also need to branch into other .Net languages? Our goal is to keep a seriously on topic site where we can try to provide good fast answers and good articles. If our readers think its a good fit, we'll try to add it!
I'll see if we can get a poll up, see what the interest level is.

And what about StandBy Servers?

Again, if there is enough interest we'd look at it. Keep in mind that even though we dont have a particular forum doesnt mean you cant post to one that is closest and we'll try to answer it. With stuff like ASP.Net right now, if it's a sql/data access question you may get a helpful answer, if its more to do with asp then we normally redirect to 4guys or another site that caters to those type issues.

Rather than just Stand-by Servers, a forum more focused on all High Availabilty aspects of SQL Server would be more beneficial.

HA is an interesting topic. We are looking at some products and will probably expand this area soon. Time is hard to come by with just 3 of us.

I can see MSDE but not .NET. The focus of this site is SQL Server, not other programming environments. MSDE is a viable platform, it not technically a full implementation of SQL Server. And I've seen quite a few q's recently about MSDE too.

Agree with that. That being said, be nice to get some recommendations on other sites to visit for other things.
