I know this article is from "The Lighter Side", but it warrants serious reading. I hear Microsoft is going to revisit its existing product line to upgrade security, but it may be too little too late. I hope they reconsider standardizing the world through subscriptions until they have a secure product to offer the world.

Perhaps. Personally, I'd pay for a subscription if the product would get better and more secure. Though it's not horrible if you keep up with the updates.
