Setup: running Win 2K, SQL 7 with SP3. When I use Perfmon (counters: SQLServer:Databases, Data File Size(s) in Kb) it always show the master database having size 0 KB. Other databases on the same box display reasonable numbers. I have seen this 0-size problem on other SQL 7 boxes as well. Any idea what's happening here?
TIA,

Try it on the server itself to see if you have the same issue. I've had problems with counters disappearing that was fixed by putting the same service packs on my workstation that were on the server.

Just got a response from Microsoft. This is, apparently, a known bug in SQL 7. Service Packs don't fix it. It's fixed in SQL 2000.

Heard from Microsoft. This is a known bug in SQL 7! Services Packs don't fix it.
Fix is to use SQL 2000 (works fine under SQL 2000)
