Here’s the abstract for the webcast:

Business continuity and disaster recovery plans are crucial for the continued existence of any organization. Whether it’s a malformed definition file that takes out a wide swath of computers worldwide, or a natural disaster like an earthquake or a hurricane, or a ransomware outbreak which takes over key parts of the organization’s technical infrastructure, these plans are essential. From a SQL Server recovery perspective, we have a lot of options available to us from standard restores from previous back-ups all the way to distributed availability groups that can even synchronize to the cloud.

In this webinar, we’ll cover these options at a high level and then dive specifically into one technology that often gets forgotten: log shipping. How does log shipping work and when is it an optimal solution? What are the drawbacks to log shipping when compared to other solutions? And can we use log shipping for more than just disaster recovery? We’ll cover all of these questions in this presentation.
