  • Yeah. I fully support '3rd Party Solutions'.

I just want to see MSSQL successful in the marketplace.

I wish I could contribute towards that cause in a meaningful way.

I've got 4 MSSQL certs, and a BUNCH of experience.

I'm hungry for work, and a bit rusty.

  • Yeah. I'm all for '3rd party apps'.

I don't trust MOST stuff I find online.

    But I'm a bit of a pessimist.

I used to provide antivirus services for one of the largest companies in the world.

    It was great. Consolidating logs.

I wish there was something I could do to contribute back to the community at this point

  • Sorry about the duplicate posts. I dont' see a button for 'Delete'.

It failed on my first post.

I'm on starlink. I guess that 85% of my connectivity failures are due to 'obstructions'.

  • Isn't this what the Microsoft partnerships are for?  Isn't Redgate a Microsoft partner?

If I'm using a product for which there are 3rd party services and products I'm looking for some form of indicator that says that the 3rd party product/service plays nicely with that product.

  • We use some 3rd party products, but will always lean towards the MS solution if there is one.  Even if not as good, any MS solution is always going to be much easier to get approved / funded.

  • At Redgate, we certainly like to think we provide useful, valuable, third-party solutions. At the same time, I know some people want MS to duplicate what we do, often because of cost.

  • Yeah. I love redgate tools. I love lots of companies tools.

I would buy redgate software if I had the budget.

On the OTHER end of the spectrum I can't see myself EVER paying anything to Solarwinds ever again. I don't want to tease their poor behavior.
