I was disheartened to read the post that shows we have three candidates for three positions this year. Started with six, two opted out (this is not uncommon as candidates sometimes realize they are not well enough prepared) and it seems one was rejected. Rejecting someone is unusual and not done lightly especially when it would leave three candidates.
Does voting make sense when the outcome won’t change?
We don’t have a “write-in” option so I’m hard pressed to make any kind of case for that. Getting an “I voted” sticker is one thing, voting just for a chance to win a Summit ticket just seems ridiculous (but I guess not pointless if you win).
If we can’t grow more candidates it’s hard to say that we have a voice in how PASS is operated. How are we going to change this?
So. Vote?
