Hello SQL experts,
We have several always on servers & mirroring servers (in lower versions).
we are seeing below alerts in sql logs every day at same time on only few of them
An error occurred in a Service broker/Database Mirroring transport connection endpoint, Error: 8474, State 11. (Near endpoint role: Target, far endpoint address:”) in few always on servers & few replication servers. The primary & secondary replicas are in sync & Principal & mirroring servers are in sync.
Upon checking security team is scheduled for scanning all ports at the time.
The question I have here
When the same port scanning process is scheduled on all mirroring servers & on all Always on servers why the errors are reporting in sql logs only on few Always on/mirroring servers but not every Always on/mirroring server?

The port scanner may not be scanning all of them. Scans like those may only sample the hosts and over the course of a week scan all of them.
I typically deal with that by blocking the source IP in windows firewall so it stops polluting the logs and monitoring.
